What are various cut off rates at Delhi universities?

One of the most famous colleges in Delhi known as the lady Shriram College have kept the cut off marks very high. Furthermore it has set a score of 98.75 percent for its BA course which is one of the toughest course to crack. Coming to the psychology course the college had dropped downed its cut off from 98.75 percent to 98.25 percent. For the course of journalism cut off was set really high by Delhi College of arts and commerce. The cut off was high as 98.5 percent. The colleges that followed the same lane were LSR and Kamla Nehru College at 97.75 percent

Other colleges like the Hindu college kept the cut off at 98 percent for BA honours and English honours. Now Hansraj College applied the same strategy and kept the cut off percentage same for economics but for the course of English the cut off was cut down to 97.25

What about cut off rates in other big cities like Mumbai and Bangalore?

In case of Mumbai the cut off seemed to be lower than that of Delhi. Mithibai College which is located at the city had a cut off percentage of 95.24 for BA        honours, 92.6 for BCom and 53.08 for BSc. Now coming over to south Mumbai the Jai hind college reported a percentage of 94 percent for arts and 77 percent for science. Now talking about Bangalore cut off percentage for Bangalore colleges have taken a good amount of growth this year especially for commerce. In Mount Carmel the percentage was 89 percent. Though other courses like Microbiology, Biotechnology, Psychology and Journalism seems to be more popular in this college

Is cut off marks directly related to the performance in boards?

Yes it is. The higher the result the higher the cut off. This year had shown that class 12th boards have shown a good performance. The average of the students scoring more than the normal is pretty high. Now if the average performance of the students were poor then the cut off would have been lower also, but since the performance of the students increase every year so does the cut off percentage.

Will it be difficult to take admissions for BDS and MBBS?

Researchers say that the competition for MBBS and BDS is going to be tougher this year as the experts seems to predict a hike in cut off score. Last year many students found the tests very easy since most of the questions came from NCERT books

Does CBSE release cut off percentile every year?

Every year CBSE tends to release cutoff score for different categories. For instance 50 percent was declared as the minimum cut off score for category which is labelled as unreserved this means that only students with a score of 131 was announced as  eligible.
